Young Children and Worship is a program curriculum that presents a joyful way for children to worship God. It invites children and adults to experience the wonder and mystery of God through a unique storytelling format and multi-sensory materials.

Worship Leader: Judy Jones

We encourage parents to stay with their young ones until a comfortable routine is established. We always require 'Greeters' and what a wonderful way to learn to serve together!

Master's Workshop Rotation

Grades 1-6
Ages 6-12 years

Children will meet in Covenant Chapel at the beginning of the service and then following Opening Worship, will go to various ‘workshops’ that provide lasting memory and understanding of Bible concepts. The multi-intelligences (creative methods) approach in the model isn't a fad or merely kid-friendly, it is calculated to take advantage of our student's God-given thirst for multi-modal learning.

Buenos Dias!

Welcome to our April 6 to 27 Workshop Rotation about Guatemala

Learn about the Francisco Coll School which is located in a dump in Guatemala City and which St. Andrew’s supports by paying for the school teacher’s salary. Fair Trade products can be purchased at St. Andrew’s which helps to provide a fair wage for Central American farmers.

In Mary’s kitchen we’ll be making tortillas from corn.
In the Potter’s house we’ll be making Quetzal birds.
In the Temple we will talk to Yolanda about her trip to the Francisco Coll School.
In the Library we’ll read mission stories.

Join us on April 27 in Iona Hall for a special celebration at coffee hour.

Thank you to the National / International Outreach committee for teaching this rotation!

Children at
The Lord’s Table

All children who are baptized are invited to the Lord’s Table alongside of the congregation and will be served communion by Rev. Lewis.

Jesus initiated the Lord's Supper as a way of uniting his followers in an act of thanksgiving, remembrance and hope. He was aware of a meal’s ability to mark significant events in the long history of God’s covenant relationships with people.

The importance of childhood nurturing in faith and ongoing support for Christian Education cannot be overstated. As a child, Jesus participated in the religious meals of his day. Parent(s) and caregivers are the primary sources of the care and love that build the foundation of trust necessary for developing faith. In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul attributes the faith of his young friend and fellow disciple to the faith of his grandmother and mother:

I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you. - 2 Timothy 1:5
