Presbyterians Sharing

Did you know? Through Presbyterians Sharing, we  support Dr. David Villalonga, a veterinarian working with the YoungMen's Christian Association (YMCA) in Nicaragua.  The YMCA is focusing on community development in Nicaragua, offering workshops and special training in animal health and reproduction, andthe production of crops for feed. David has seen the difference this makes in the life of Manuel, a 67year old man who received five heifers and training on feeding and breedingthem in 2004.  He and his familybenefited greatly as a result of the income received from the sale ofoffspring.  His children are ableto attend school, and he was able to pay for cancer treatment he would nototherwise have been able to afford. As we support Presbyterians Sharing . .. let us pray for David and the YMCA as they work tomake a difference in the lives of the poor in Nicaragua.

Sunday Smile- Tap-Tap-Tapping in the Cemetary
Two men were walking home after a Halloween party and decided to take a shortcutthrough the cemetery just for laughs. Right in the middle of the cemetery, theywere startled by a tap-tap-tapping noise coming from the misty shadows.Trembling with fear, they found an old man with a hammer and chisel, chippingaway at one of the headstones.
"Holy cow, Mister," one of them said, after catching his breath,"You scared us half to death! We thought you were a ghost! What are youdoing working here so late at night?"
"Those fools!" the old man grumbled. "They misspelled myname!"
