Our Mission Statement

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.
And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18 - 20
The Mission of our church, indeed its very reason for being, is stated powerfully in this brief passage from the New Testament. Our covenant then, developed by members of this church, goes on to clarify to what values, attitudes and behaviours we commit ourselves when we choose to be members of a church with such a dynamic mission.

St. Andrew's

Vision for the Millennium

As we approach the millennium we, the people of St. Andrew's, see ours as a church home:

  • to which young people want to come because they have a meaningful place and want to grow their faith;

  • to which all members have a rich sense of belonging and a common commitment to Christian Fellowship;

  • in which and from which its people visibly demonstrate and love;

  • in which the laity, through leadership and participation, that the church is indeed the "People of God;"

  • whose members demonstrate a deep understanding of Christian faith and service through their commitment of social ministry to the core area and the world beyond;

  • in which all its members share fairly their stewardship responsibilities so that human and financial resources are available to fulfill the church's mission;

  • that uses this vision as a foundation to support each other as family and community as we move through positive transition and maintain an active ministry into the new millennium.

Our Covenant

We, the people of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, recognizing our failures as individuals and as a human community, affirm our call under the Grace of God the Creator, through Jesus Christ our redeemer and by the power of the Holy Spirit to Worship, Fellowship, Witness and Service.

As a congregation reflecting the ministry of Christ to a confused and uncertain world:
