The Builders (pre-JK)

Builders ages 3 - 5 years are welcome in The Workshop, a fun new space for children to develop a foundation for faith and wonder.

Lessons are designed to help children identify emotions and feelings for the characters in each story they hear. Children sing, dance, make crafts and play games as they are introduced to basic Bible concepts like love, trust, faith and forgiveness.

A Typical Sunday

9:45am - The Wokshop is open for free play. Activities like the sand box, colouring table, tool bench, jumbo blocks, play kitchen and homemade play-doh are available. Come early and chat with the teachers!

10:10am - Craft. Teachers help children in small groups to put together their craft. They talk about the story and how it relates to what they are making.

10:25am - Lesson Begins Children come together in a circle to hear the story read from the SPARK curriculum Bible. Children point to pictures in the book to talk about the different people in the story. Next, teachers use a simple object lesson or game to demonstrate the story in a fun and interactive way. Finally the children receive a cardstock leaflet that they complete with stickers. These cards are great to reinforce the lesson at home with parents.

10:45am - Move to Main Service. Children travel together to the church sanctuary and join the rest of the congregation in closing worship.
