Youth ministry at St. Andrew's is a fun and engaging experience where teens will get opportunities to take hold of their personal growth and begin wrestling with what it means to doubt, to believe, to love God and to love others. Programs are open for everyone in Grades 6-8 (Jr. High) and 9-12 (Sr. High), whether you've been here since you were 3 or you're totally new!

We meet every Thursday night at the church.  Doors open at 6:30pm, programing starts at 7:00pm and pickup is anytime between 8:30pm and 9:00pm.

What to Expect When You Visit Us

When you arrive, you'll meet our youth team and we'll ask you to fill out a brief registration form (this just helps get to know your teen a bit better). At St. Andrew’s we adhere to the Leading With Care guidelines and policies. This means all of our leaders and volunteers have passed a recent background check, and adhere to the covenant of care guidelines.

Sunday Mornings

On a Sunday morning head in through any of the entrance doors and our greeters will direct you to the Youth room or follow the signs upstairs.  Each we we’ll spend time either digging into an issue that our teens are dealing with in their lives, learning something interesting about the Bible, volunteering with our elementary school kids,  or discussing why we believe faith in God is even important.

Communicants Class

St. Andrew's runs a Communicants class every other year for students in grade 6 through 8. This class meets once a month on Sunday mornings. Over the course of the year students will learn the basic foundations of the Christian faith and in the spring they are invited to make a public profession of faith. Our next class will begin in fall 2018. Want more info? Email Lauren

Thursday Night Jr. & Sr. High Groups

Thursday nights at St. Andrews are geared around 2 things: Loving God and Loving Others.  This year in youth we’re going to do that in 3 ways: Social Events, Community Service, and Bible Study nights.

SOCIAL

Sometimes you’ve just got to party, and that’s our goal here too! We’re going to have nights throughout the year where we get together to jump around at Skyzone, run around at Laser Quest or just stay in our gym and throw stuff at each other.  These are always going to be events that are easy to bring a first time friend too, with prizes, games and food.  It’s bound to get a little crazy, and that’s just how we like it!

SERVICE

It’s important that we are intentional about getting into our community and helping people, simply because Jesus taught us that it’s the right thing to do.  Community Service nights might be anything from helping serve meals at a soup kitchen, packing boxes at Operation Christmas Child, Christmas Carolling, or volunteering to watch a whole bunch of younger kids so that parents can have a date night.  We can’t wait to see what God’s got in store for us!

STUDY

On Study nights, you can expect a lively discussion about something happening in your kids life and find out how it relates to some of the things in The Bible.  These are not lecture style events, but are built with plenty of opportunities for questions and debate.  These evenings are built specifically to be geared toward people who have a big faith, a little faith, or no faith at all!  Each night will start with a challenge and opportunities to get to know each other better and win prizes

Our biggest goal is to build a place where teens and be themselves in a safe and fun environment.  If you have any other questions about Thursday nights, make sure you ask Mike Wasyluk anytime.
