St. Andrew’s collection includes books for children and adults exploring faith, spirituality, justice, history, reconciliation, community and the world around us — along with stories simply worth discovering.
Everything in The Book Corner is free to borrow, with no overdue fees.

Our collection can be found in two locations at St. Andrew’s.
📚 Children’s Books & Games
Our children’s collection includes picture books, faith-based stories, educational resources and games for children and families.
You’ll find the Children’s Book Corner as you exit the Weber Street side of the Sanctuary.
📖 Adult Books
Explore books on Christian faith and spirituality alongside thought-provoking works engaging with contemporary issues, Canadian life and the wider world.
You’ll find the Adult Book Corner to the right of the Queen Street exit of the Sanctuary.
More Than a Shelf of Books
The Book Corner is part of St. Andrew’s commitment to learning, curiosity and growing together in faith. Through the collection, we hope to:
Deepen Faith: Provide resources that encourage reflection, exploration and growth in our individual and shared journeys of faith.
Encourage Lifelong Learning: Support Christian education and curiosity for children, families and adults at every stage of life.
Engage Our World: Offer thoughtful perspectives on the questions, challenges and issues shaping our communities and our world.
Returning a Book
When you’re finished, simply place the book in the white return bin.
Our Book Corner volunteers will return the borrowing card to the book and place it back on the shelf.
We encourage books to be returned within three to four weeks so someone else can enjoy them, but there are no overdue fees.
If a book is lost or damaged, just let us know.

You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for. Take a few minutes before or after worship to browse the shelves, discover something unexpected and take a book home with you.

The Jean van Esch Award
In 2006, longtime Book Corner librarian Carol Fay received the Jean van Esch Award from the Church Library Association of Ontario, recognizing her years of dedicated service to the church library.
Carol’s commitment to The Book Corner was also recognized by the Session of St. Andrew’s in 2005.
