There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.

Rev. Marty Molengraaf

Lead Minister

Marty Molengraaf is married to his best friend, Barb. They met at the University of Toronto and were married in 1979. They have two children, Krista and Stacey, two sons-in-law, Scott and James and two beautiful grandchildren, Keegan and Aiden. Barb and Marty enjoy great conversations, cooking together, long walks and spending time with family.

Marty has served the Presbyterian Church in Canada as a minister since 1983, with a brief break between 1999 and 2001. He enjoys his work and believes the church has an increasingly important role in society – offering a sense of deep belonging and connection to people and reaching out to address the struggles of the most vulnerable in our community. It is, he believes, what Jesus did and what followers of Jesus are called to do. The overflowing love of God enables the church to fulfill that role.

Rev. Wendy Paterson

Pastoral Care Coordinator

Wendy was ordained in 1979 and retired in 2015 after serving for four years in Kenora and thirty-two years in Windsor. In July 2019, I moved to Kitchener from Windsor with my husband, Scott, and in October 2020, I started working part-time as the Pastoral Care Coordinator at St. Andrew’s. It is a joy for me to work with the Deacons and the Prayer Group, officiate at funerals, assist in worship (and sometimes preach) and make countless phone calls.

Pastoral Care is my ‘dream job,’ and I am thrilled to be serving God in this way.

My other passion is our six grandchildren – five girls and one boy. None of them live in Kitchener, but we visit back and forth as often as possible.

We go for walks almost every day, do WORDLE, and watch sports on T.V. Go, Blue Jays, Go!!! I love to swim, and recently I started playing pickleball which I like even better because it is more social.
