What can I expect?

What does a service at St. Andrew’s Church look like?

A worship service at St. Andrew’s is traditional but not formal. Our services typically include a call to worship, prayer, responsive reading, communal hymn singing, a children’s message, scripture, choir anthem, a sermon, an instrumental prelude and a postlude.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols (updated Summer 2022)

Wearing masks for the protection of individuals from COVID-19 is optional. Providing one’s vaccination status while on the church property will be dropped. However, St. Andrew’s encourages individuals to be vaccinated against COVID -19. These policies can be reviewed at any time if conditions warrant it. We thank everyone for their continued co-operation.

What is the culture like at St. Andrew’s?

At St. Andrew’s, we strive to be a place where people are valued, where they feel safe and where they belong, a place of inclusion and welcome.

We know that God’s love includes everyone! We are an inclusive, affirming congregation; we honour the diversity of God’s creation. Our community is richer when we include people of all ages, gender identities, racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, abilities, economic circumstances, and family configurations.

We seek to provide a safe space so that each person can bring every aspect of their whole self into participation within this congregation. We warmly welcome all into the life and ministry of St. Andrew’s.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. Here at St. Andrew’s, you will encounter people dressed in their ‘Sunday best’ and others dressed very casually. So come as you are.

What about my children?

Our vision for Children’s Ministry is that your kids would have a blast and feel welcome, loved, and excited to experience God. We believe through story, play and connection, kids will experience the powerful love of God and be transformed to be more like Jesus. This is something we view as a great responsibility, so we prioritize it. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of this, please make sure to register your children before arriving so we can prepare a place for them, and we know how best to serve your family!
